NYX Round Lipstick in "Paris"

Paris is an extremely opaque creamy cool pink color.  I'm not sure if it borders on purple or not--it kind of does.  I don't wear this often because it doesn't look good on me personally, but objectively it's a great color, and very interesting.

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in "Bronze"

I love this color.  I reach for it often--partially because I love bronze, but also because this is a particularly flattering, shiny, glimmering shade of bronze.  I'd recommend any day to a girl who wants to complement her tan!

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipcolour in "Pink Future"

Either this color is only sold in the UK, or it's been discontinued, but unlike the other Color Riche lipsticks, the case is silver and pink, not gold.  I also got this at a store that mostly just sells discontinued makeup.  Anyway, it's a really fun hot pink shade.  Definitely good for a night out with the girls!

L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in "Cashmere"

I believe that Cashmere was one of L'Oreal's limited time only nude shades, but I'm not sure.  All I know is that I really love it!  It's more of a medium toned nude, so it's not a pale lip.  It's sparkly, but not glittery, if that makes sense, and there is visible shimmer.  The shimmer and sparkle might be too much for some people but I think this is a gorgeous color.  It's a lot like my natural lip color but just "better".

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in "Airy Fairy"

People hail Airy Fairy as a great nude shade, but honestly I don't see it as a nude shade.  Airy Fairy seems more like a cool dusty light pink.  It's not an unattractive color, but perhaps it's just cool on my skin tone instead of nude.  The smell of the lasting finish lipsticks generally turns me off too, but some people don't seem to mind it.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in "Wink for Pink"

"Wink for Pink" is like the shinier, cooler version of "Pink in the Afternoon". (Although I'd still call it a warm pink, it's just not quite as warm as Pink in the Afternoon) It's not quite as bright, and it's not matte.  Some people complain that Wink for Pink has too much shimmer, but I hardly notice any shimmer at all.  It's a pretty universally flattering light pink and the color payoff is average, so it's not "too much" right away.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in "Pink in the Afternoon"

Pink in the Afternoon seems to be one of Revlon's better-known shades.  It's a pretty, warm light pink with no shimmer or sparkle.  In fact, it almost seems to be matte.  It would be very pretty with light ivory complexions, but it might be a little too bright for darker complexions.  One good thing about it, though, is that the color payoff is excellent.  It reminds me a little of the creamy NYX lipsticks.

Revlon Moondrops Lipstick in "Peach Silk"

I usually don't like the Moondrops colors because they all seem so bright.  This color is bright, too, but I admit I do like it.  Peach silk is more orangey than peach, and is probably only suitable for spring and summer, but it's still a nice color, and it's definitely original!  It's a little brighter than shown in the picture.

Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick in "Sugar Plum Ice"

By the name of this lipstick, I would guess that it was a frosty light purple shade.  Instead, it's a subtle shimmery light peachy pink--a bit of frost, but not too much.  It's actually quite a nice color.  There is a smell, but it's not unpleasant.  Also, as the name indicates, this lipstick is moisturizing.  And a plus-- it has SPF 15!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in "Rosy Nude"

This name is seriously mismatched because this color is not "nude" at all--it's more of a brownish brick red.  Having said that, it's still a very flattering and pretty color, and it glides on so smooth that I can't resist wearing this so often.  Revlon should just get better with their names, especially since you can't actually see the lipstick when you buy it in the store--you only see a plastic representation of what it's supposed to look like!

Styli-Style Timeless Lipstick in "Spirit" (Baby Pink)

I'm not a huge fan of frosty lip colors (nobody seems to be these days) but when it comes down to it, this is a decent frosty color because it's more shimmery than frosty.  This is a good cool, light baby pink, perfect for pairing with smokey eyes for an ultra-sexy nighttime look.  It doesn't flatter my coloring, but it could definitely work on a fair, blue eyed blonde with pink tones in her skin.  For warmer-toned girls, try "Heavenly" instead--it has gold tones instead of silver.

L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in "Tickled Pink" 165

This is a nice color, especially if you have very cool-toned skin.  Tickled Pink is a light lilac pink shade.  It's not the best on me, but I can definitely see where someone would love it.  Tickled Pink is the lightest pink color from L'Oreal Color Riche and it's pretty striking.  It's shimmery, but not too shimmery. Unfortunately, like other L'Oreal lipsticks, it carries with it a strong scent, but it's easy to ignore eventually.

NYX Round Lipstick in "Echo"

POOP!  That's what this looks like.  Figuratively and literally.  I don't know how this lipstick could look good on anyone, but possibly someone with extremely warm skin could pull it off.  Usually warmer, browner colors look great on me, but this just took it too far.  The smell is also soapy and weird.  Luckily it was only 2-3 bucks.  At least it's got good color payoff, and it's creamy.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in "Latino"

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks are finally available in the US!  This is great news for us, because this lipstick is fabulous.  I will admit that "Latino" isn't exactly my favorite color when it comes to these lipsticks--definitely a good color, just nothing special to me.  It's a shimmery medium pink, kind of the less exciting version of Rimmel Lasting Finish in "Kiss".  However, it's pretty universally flattering, so that's a plus.  Also, the moisturizing abilities of this lipstick are fabulous--regardless of what color you get, you can't deny that your lips will feel insanely moisturized and full after using this.  It's not a plumping lipstick, but it feels like one!

Above with no flash, below with flash.  It is slightly warmer/brighter than the "no flash" picture but not as warm and bright as the flash picture.

Neutrogena Moisturshine Soothing Lip Sheers in "Ripe Raspberry"

These are excellent lipsticks.  First of all, they remind me more of lip balms, because they're so moisturizing and light-feeling.  They're sheer, but they definitely deliver color--more color than plenty of lipsticks that promise good color payoff.  Ripe Raspberry in particular gives excellent color payoff.  This is a great berry shade for all skin tones.

Sally Hansen Collagen Lip Lift in "Sheer Tranquil Toffee"

I have to say, I'm not sure if this lipstick is actually good for my lips, and it certainly doesn't seem to plump them, but this is one of the most moisturizing and easy-to-wear lipsticks I own.  The "toffee" color is more like a sheer brick red, but it looks nice, especially in fall and winter.  This is a good lipstick to wear to work, but you can also wear it at night too, perhaps with some winged black eye liner or a neutral smokey eye.  There is no offensive smell to this lipstick either.  I'm not sure if these are still sold in stores, but you can find them all over the internet.

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Color Comfort Lip Color in "Sunbeam"

First off, let me just say that I expected a color called "sunbeam" to be way more golden.  Having said that, this brown-pink is not a bad color. It's a good brownish tone for cool-skinned girls, who have pink tones to their skin, because there is very little gold to it.  It's super creamy, moisturizing, and comfortable, and there isn't any shimmer or frost.  The packaging, a little green metallic tube, is also kind of cute, if you're a sucker for packaging.

Above, without flash.  Below, with flash.  The flash makes everything appear warmer, and the picture without the flash is probably more accurate in terms of color tone--this is a cool-toned brownish pink.

Victoria's Secret Perfect Lipstick in "Reveal Me"

I think Reveal Me might have been discontinued, as Victoria's Secret likes to change their color selection up constantly.  But I'm glad I got it when I did!  Reveal Me is a shimmery vibrant cool pink.  It's not too cool though--it definitely doesn't border on purple, so it's still possible for olive-skinned girls like me to wear it, and look nice. It also glides on excellently, and it's not drying, cakey, or overly creamy to the point that it looks like you're wearing paint on your lips.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in "Kiss"

"Kiss" is a new color for Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks.  And I must admit, I'm completely satisfied!  "Kiss" is a semi-bright medium neutral-warm pink with shimmer.  It goes on smooth and lasts for a while.  The smell is a bit strong but not unpleasant, just your typical lipstick smell.

NYX black label lipstick in "Heiress"

I have to say, NYX lip colors hardly ever let me down.  Heiress is a great, universally flattering color.  It's basically a neutral medium to light pink, and very creamy--no sparkles, no shimmer, but not matte.  The color payoff is excellent.  It really felt like a "high end" lipstick.  I will definitely be ordering more of these!

Excuse my extremely yellow skin in the picture--it's just what the flash does to my skin.  Heiress actually does look good on me in real life, despite the fact that it looks way too cool for me here!
